We conduct testing of herbal medicines according to regulatory frameworks (e.g., European, Chinese, and US Pharmacopoeias) and food analyses according to relevant Swiss and country-specific guidelines. Where standard methods are lacking, we offer tailored solutions.
Identity
We are experts in identity verification of traditional medicines and are familiar with the testing regulations for more than 1000 plants of European and Traditional Asian Medicine. We have established validated testing methods for their common galenic forms (raw, dried plants, dry and liquid extracts/concentrates).
Where no testing method exists for your product, we are happy to develop one exclusively for you.

Besides the correct botanical or pharmaceutical identity, content determinations of clinically important ingredients are a crucial feature for the quality of herbal medicinal and dietary supplements. For this, please refer to our relevant catalog. If the substance you want determined is missing, we are happy to develop a method for you.
Microbiology
Microbial contamination should demonstrably be absent from your product or remain within the regulatory limits. We are happy to provide you with proof of this.
Mycotoxins
Mold (aflatoxins, ochratoxins, and other mycotoxins) is a serious problem in natural products and is subject to regulatory requirements. We perform the corresponding analyses.
Pesticides
There are over 1500 pesticides worldwide, some problematic and others less hazardous, with new ones constantly being added. In practice, about 600 of them are considered health-threatening, and we can measure them. The limits differ in different categories (medicinal products, dietary supplements), and there are also country-specific features. Furthermore, the assumed daily or sporadic intake amount plays a role. We are happy to advise you to ensure the correct measurement spectrum is applied to your needs.
Heavy metals and other elements
The determination of certain heavy metals (especially mercury, cadmium, and lead) and possibly other elements (e.g., arsenic) is mandatory in most regulations. We can determine not only the mentioned ones but, if desired, dozens more.
Stability testing
Natural products also have to maintain their qualitative properties until the expiration date. For this, we can provide valid values in a shortened procedure according to official guidelines. Moreover, batches nearing expiration can be salvaged with a renewed stability test, allowing a new date further in the future to be set.
